First on our list is the International Major Entrance Scholarships (IMES). The International Major Entrance Scholarships (IMES) are awarded to international undergraduate students who have received an offer of admission to study at UBC.
The scholarship which is part of the annual $30 million education investment for undergraduate students, is awarded based on candidates’ demonstration of academic achievement and vigorous extracurricular involvement.
With the level of involvement, the scholarships are renewable for additional three years of study, and the number and level of these scholarships awarded each year vary, depending on available funding.
Eligibility
For you to be considered for the IMES, you must:
• Be new to UBC, entering directly from secondary school.
• Be an international student who will be studying at UBC on a Canadian study permit (student visa). (Changes to your citizenship status will affect your IMES eligibility.)
• Demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and intellectual promise, as well as impressive extracurricular and community involvement.
• Must not be nominated for a need-and-merit-based International Scholars award.
• Apply to UBC by January 15th of the year if you wish to start studies at the University.
2. President’s International Distinction Scholarship
The University of Alberta is pleased to announce to all eligible international undergraduate and graduate students the President’s international Distinction Scholarship.
The president’s international Distinction Scholarship is for students with an outstanding admission average and demonstration of leadership qualities, entering their first year of an
undergraduate degree.
The first year must be at the University of Alberta, studying as a student visa permit can be awarded at an amount of $120,000 (payable over 4 years). The application requirement is that candidates must apply to an undergraduate degree program before they can apply for the president’s scholarships.

3. Carleton Prestige Scholarships
Carleton is offering a variety of fully funded scholarship programs for eligible undergraduate international students in Canada. The Carleton scholarship is intended for those with English language requirements and great involvement in community service and it can be a renewable entrance scholarship.
To be considered for one of these scholarships, you must enter Carleton University directly from high school or CEGEP. Students who have gone through a post-secondary educational institution are not eligible.
Eligibility
• Candidates must achieve an admission average of 90 percent
• Candidates must participate in community or secondary school extra-curricular activities.
• Candidates must enter Carleton directly from high school or CEGEP.

4. Winnipeg President’s Scholarships for World Leaders
The University of Winnipeg’s fully funded Presidential Scholarship for World Leaders is ongoing for eligible International undergraduate students at Winnipeg University. Thus, those who are entering Winnipeg for the first time.
The scholarship which is valued at $5,000 is strictly for undergraduate, graduate, collegiate, PACE or ELP students, chosen on a merit-based, academic performance, and financial need basis. It covers tuition fees, accommodation, books, materials, and living expenses.
5. Lester B. Pearson International Student Scholarships
The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships, taking place at the University of Toronto, is designed to provide a stunning educational opportunity for outstanding international undergraduate students
You will be regarded for the scholarship if you have unique academic achievement, creativity, leadership skills, and great involvement in community service. The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships is intended to cover tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support for four years.
Eligibility
• The candidates must be international students (i.e. a non-Canadian requiring a study permit);
• Currently in your final year of secondary school or have graduated no earlier than June 2022
• Beginning your studies at the University of Toronto in September 2023
